Business background

Richard Morgan qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). He then gained experience in industry as a hands-on accountant and in tax planning.

In 1981, he decided to capitalise on this wide experience by setting up his own practice offering accounting, taxation and financial management services to companies that could not justify their own Financial Director. The business developed well through specialisation in television, video and other media businesses and as a provider of total support to UK-based subsidiaries of overseas companies. Most of the growth came through recommendation and referral.

Today, Richard heads a team who act as accountants, advisers and consultants to a wide-range of businesses and has expanded into other specialised areas - whilst still retaining all the specialist media knowledge and contacts. A number of charities also appear on the client list including the Vision Charity and Citizens Advice Bureaux. For his long term services to charity, Richard was awarded the MBE in 2002.

Over the years the extraordinary dedication and commitment of the team has been reflected in the close working relationships with our clients. We find that working this way makes our work more effective - and so much more satisfying and enjoyable.
